By combining an already impressive data stack with powerful analytics and traffic steering this platform is being crafted by completely rethinking the Information Architecture and trying to understand where the internet performance market is heading.

Progression

Much of the work for this platform is still ongoing and there is a continuous effort to craft this vision and provide unparalleled insight for IT professionals. In the meantime here are few screens that have been created to start to connect the dots for this vision.

Feature Rich

Popular features include Topic Pages, Bulletin Boards, Interactive Assignments and online Assessments, and an Activity Stream. All new features we created when we built this product.

Tablet Friendly

We also enhanced grade books, athletic team pages, added in app communication for rosters and put extra emphasis on the tablet and mobile experiences as research told us that students would primarily be using these devices to connect to this product.

Simple yet Robust

Challenges included making a LMS that was robust enough for teachers to engage their students but simple enough for them to manage. The same challenges held true from the student and parent end, a rich,intuitive experience paired with an easy way to add, view and communicate.

Adoption of this LMS took off and it soon became one of the most popular products in the “on” suite.

Redesigned

When redesigned we put an emphasis on a simpler overall experience. The previous legacy version was not intuitive for users to add and manage their content and navigation maps and didn’t allow for easy customization and flexibility

Responsive

With that in mind we embarked to design a completely rethought system. Drag and drop widget functionality was added for easy page content creation. The framework allowed for responsive websites and we made sure it was easy for users to preview their pages in various sizes before publishing. We added creation of multiple sites which allowed users to manage not only their marketing sites but also special campaigns, landing pages and mini sites.

Page Builder

Design and behaviour patterns we created for this CMS also were reused in many other areas of the product suite and allowed us a consistent and familiar way for the user to manage not only their front end experience but also class pages, athletic team, and calendars.

User Focused

Both products were reimagined to allow for a cleaner, more intuitive experience. Close attention was paid to user management profiles as we knew their would be strong crossover in information as a student begins their journey as an applicant, proceeds as a student and ultimately becomes an alum. Access and management of an individual student’s enrollment, learning profile, attendance, schedule, and official transcript all from a single location were key drivers to this revamp.

Communication is Key

Equally important was the parent experience for both of these products. They are the key consumers for both products so close attention was spent in creating an enriching experience that informed parents of their child’s progress during the application process, within the school and during enrollment plus allowed for easy in app communication to teachers, advisors and school officials. The mobile experience was targeted as research suggested this was the most popular way they would interact with the product.
